Germ-Free Humidifier with UV Sanitizing Light Review

The Brookstone Humidifier does exactly what it says it can do. It puts out warm steam humidity into the room, supposedly UV screened and filtered. I'll take their word for that instead of getting it tested. We looked at all the ones available at a Big Box retailer for less money, but went with the Brookstone because it "looked" like a "better" model at the higher price. But what's making us return this item to Brookstone is that the light for the LCD is SO BRIGHT, we cannot sleep with the unit on. There is no option to dim or turn off the little screen when the unit is on. Perhaps they should design it with a simple button to turn the screen to Hi-Low-Off, or have it only go on when you press the On/Off or adjustment button and then go dark after a few seconds. Seems like a great humidifier, but I slept better in the dry dark than the humid light. Sorry.
