When I first placed the unit in the room, it ran whisper quiet. After two weeks of constant nightly use, it "rattles" when misting; the seal between parts no longer holds because water now pours through the juncture of parts. I exchanged it. Again, the unit worked well at first, but now after three months, the "rattle" and leakage is evident. I am thinking that regular use wears the parts too fast, maybe if I only used it once in a while. At the very least, I do like the design and the ease of set up.
