I am using Dirt Devil ENVISION for 1 year now. This is the first filter change. The filter fits perfectly and works great. It Really traps even the finest dirts. Even though not mentioned by manufacturer, it can be cleaned with airduster or you can even wash it with water if you do not twist it. I strongly recommend this Product.

At first I was a bit iffy about whether the "air purifiers" really made that much of a difference.But this one looked cool so I thought I'd give it a try...and let me tell you, it really DOES WORK!! After having it on a medium setting for just an hour I could significantly tell a difference in the way the room felt. The air seemed fresher, easier to breathe and just overall clean.
I especially love using it at night, because I like the sound of a fan and even had to turn it up to medium setting from whisper quiet so it could be nosier.But if you don't like noise, whisper quiet is a great setting. The low blue light is also a nice soothing night-light or just fun color to look at.
Because of my breathing problems and allergies, I used to have to dust every other day or so just to keep things clean...since I've had this air purifier there's hardly any dust and I just have to clean every week or so.
Another plus is the no replacement filters...you save tons of money by not having to replace filters, this one can clean easily!!Overall, I am absolutely satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Replacement 401 Space Gard Aprilaire 2400 Filter Media SG4 Review

Great for saving money but takes 10-15 minutes to set up properly since you have to remove the old clips and install this new filter. Since I'm dumb, it took me 35 minutes because I didn't fan it correctly the first time. You have to space each fold of the accordian design into each spacer correctly and not skip any. It has a learning curve and will be easier next time. There is an easier product that has the frame alreay built but it's more expensive. Also, there is a permanent model that you can wash but I couldn't find it on Amazon since buying my new furnace summer 2008 and needing the replacement Spring 2009. The washable permanent model would definitely be my cup of tea if I can find it again. But this is your cheapest alternative for the time being, if you require a #401 MERV 10 filter.

Honeywell H14013 Replacement Filter for Eureka DCF-10 Review

I had previously gotten a different brand replacement that worked ok. However, it did not have the extra nozzle on one end of the filter (which can be seen in the image on the top-side of the Honeywell filter). This make all the difference. My vacuum picks up much more dirt than it usually does. And thank goodness because I have to vacuum after my dirty dogs all the time.
I am very, very happy with this brand.

Honeywell H32045 Dirt Devil Style 4/5 Replacement Belts Review

I bought a package of these at a hardware store (it was the only brand they carried). The first belt only lasted a few *vacuumings*. The next time I started the vacuum, I smelled the burnt belt scent. It was melting and stretching and then broke. I have put on the second belt and am hopeful, but it doesn't look it will last too long either. To compare, the original belt that came with the vacuum lasted over ten years of occasional vacuum use. I am going to try another brand next time.

Holmes Replacement Wick Filter Review

I was expecting the packaging to be branded Holmes but it wasn't. Compared to what I consider the original version of the filter, what we got wasn't of like quality. I would say it was lower quality. We're also going through them quicker than the originals. Just over a week for each filter and that's after running it 12-15 hours per day.

We couldn't find these filters anywhere else, Target, BBB, RiteAid, Walgreen's, none of them had it. I guess Holmes or whomever doesn't manufacture them anymore.

I want to start out by saying that this product is no miracle.I wanted to wait until I had the unit a few months before I wrote an honest review.I live in about an 800 sq ft apartment with vaulted cielings.I have no real allergies but I do smoke.I have noticed a difference in the overall cleanliness of the air but it certainly does not omit all odors.The unit seems to work very well eliminating any dust, pollen, mold etc... If you want to get rid of odors from smoke, cooking, pets, etc... you will probably experience a reduction but not elimination.Which brings me to the unit itself; the filter and the fan are quite small and not very effective.The UV lamp in the unit, however, seems to be very effective.It is quiet and very portable.The bootom line; the unit will improve the quality of the air without costing a fortune or requiring filter replacements but if you really want to eliminate odors you'll probably have to buy a much more powerful and expensive machine.

Hamilton Beach 04383 True Air Allergen-Reducing Air Cleaner Review

I received my item (though late, Thanks Amazon), and apparently all my research into an air cleaner has paid off. This little guy does exactly what it says and works like a charm.

Here's why I bought it. I wanted an air cleaner for a medium to small sized room where I keep my cat's litter box. Normally, it doesn't smell, but about the day it's time to change it, I can smell it. Now, I don't want to smell it ever, though I keep my kitty box schedule in tact. Anyway, this air cleaner is so quiet on Whisper Mode that I literally cannot hear it. I even put it in my roommate's bedroom, just to see if she realized it was in there, before moving it to its final destination. She had no clue.

The model has 3 speeds, but the Whisper Mode is fine for continuous daily use. Sure, you can turn it up, and you'll hear it's low whirrrrrr, but that's to be expected.

Another reason I bought it is that it IS a HEPA quality cleaner. But I don't have to buy replacement filters--ever. This one has a "permanent" filter, which I didn't even know existed. To clean it, it says about once every 6 months to just use your hose and brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner and suck it out. Really? That's awesome! Why don't ALL HEPA filters do this. That feels like such a waste. I'm not allergic to anything, but my purpose for this is to keep the area near my kitty box smelling like air, and not horrid ammonia. Cats are so gorgeous, but like newborn babies, they sure can produce some of the foulest smells! So: I am in love with this baby. Thanks Hamilton Beach!

DeLonghi DDH30 30-Pint Capacity Dehumidifier Review

The first DeLonghi 30-pint unit I received from Amazon looked great but did not function properly; the cooling unit that removes water from the air didn't work.I returned the unit for an exchange.(Amazon gets five stars for their excellent return process).The second unit arrived in good condition and worked for about 2 minutes before the compressor in the cooling unit stopped, never to start again.I tested the unit in an 80 degree bathroom at 100 percent humidity and it did not remove a drop of water from the air.The literature with the unit does not provide any help on this type of malfunction, but does give a Web site address (www.delonghi.com).The Web site had great graphics but no useful information.A note to the company asking if there was any way to solve the problem elicited a recommendation to return the unit.
The DDH30 dehumidifier appears well-made in other respects, but clearly there is a quality control problem with the refrigeration unit, or it is easily damaged during shipment.It appears impossible for a homeowner to open the unit to do any minor repairs, so the only alternative is to return units that don't work.An electrical schematic is located behind the removable water bucket, but isn't very helpful because there isn't any easy way to access the unit's innards.I notice that the controls for the DDH30 are more primitive than the larger models.Perhaps those more sophisticated units are more reliable, but I'm not taking the chance...
In my experience, the DDH30 dehumidifier -- like the DeLonghi web site -- looks great but isn't very useful.

RPS #DU3-C 3PK Replacement Wick Filter Review

I used to get these filters at Sears and they cost quite a bit more there. These filters are not so easy to find either. I have been buying these here at Amazon for a couple of years now, they are always delivered promtly and I get just what I ordered. It's a filter, it does what it does ... what more can I say ...lol One thing I liked this year was I could get more and the shipping was the same, last year I bought two and had to pay shipping twice, this year I bought three. I usually have to change them a couple of times a year, the unit works better. You can tell by the running time that it's getting plugged up. Running my hummidfier is a god send by making the air not as dry and my house seem warmer.

Hunter 82031 Energy Star Ultra Quite Bathroom Fan, White Review

I bought 2 of these fans and they both met or even exceeded my expectations.They are an easy DIY install because of the well written instructions.And the fans run very quietly.I'd say they sound like a desk fan running on low speed; you can definitely hear it, but you can easily talk over the noise. My only complaintis the square vent (seen in the product picture) is rather large; I'd estimate it's 10" x 13".It would be more aesthetically pleasing if smaller.

LW44 GRY Airwasher Review

I was so confused by all the information you can get on humidifiers I bought four and tried them all. I also have an AprilAire Central humidifier and spoke to our HVAC company as part of this. Here's the net:

When the humidity is right (40%-60%) it eliminates dry skin and stuffy noses. My dog also quit scratching. Guitar makers recommend it.

The Venta LW 44 is my favorite unit. (Note - this review is about the LW44. The LLC 5044436 is similar but wasn't available when I bought mine. I still thought this might be useful to buyers.) It has no filter at all. It cleans the air using the water. It's easy to fill, and requires less attention in terms of filling and cleaning. Overall it's a simpler design. Visually it's the least obtrusive unit - the only one my daughter would allow in her room. It's also the quietest. It also cleans the air so it eliminates an air cleaning device. In some reviews it is criticized for not humidifying. Unlike the others it doesn't have a built-in hygrometer. The moisture it puts into the air is not as noticeable as the others. However, I got a separate hygrometer and it works as well as the others. The humidity can be the same level in a room, and it will feel more humid with one unit than another. The steam units make you feel the moisture the most. The feeling of moisture - by-the-way - is not good. The less it feels moist the better. Venta allows you to use scented oils, if you like that option. Others do not. Amazon has several hygrometers. I got the Honeywell TM005X Wireless Thermo-Hygrometer.

Central Unit - The central unit will not do the job alone. We have a two-story house and it really has no impact on the upper level, where the bedrooms are and where you most need it.

Air-O-Swiss U7142 Ultrasonic humidifier. I saw it at a Bed, Bath and Beyond while shopping and it looked so slick I got it. It's not obvious until you get it home, but the instructions require you to place it up 3 feet off the ground, even though it looks like a floor unit. This is going to be a problem in most rooms because it limits where you can put it and it becomes the visual focus of the room. It worked for one day, though it produced a lot of white powder that covered the unit itself and would have become a problem for every object in the room. It only got the room to 29% humididty. On the second day the red light was on, so I refilled it and could never get it to work again. After hours of effort and troubleshooting with the customer support line, I could never make it work. The good news is that Bed, Bath and Beyond was super easy to deal with on the return and had the Venta model I discovered when troubleshooting the Air-O-Swiss.

Honeywell QuietCare - This unit will definitely humidify a room. It has a built in hygrometer. So you can set it to get to a certain level and stop. The two big tanks make the job of filling it less frequent, and the two-tank design is a good idea since it would be hard for most people to handle a single tank with 11 gallons of water. On the downside, it's a bit loud on high and you need it on high when it's cold outside and the humidity inside is low. The tanks often don't work, as they have to be positioned just right and I've never mastered getting them on 100% right 100% of the time. It has a filter, so it's cleaning he air - but the instructions tell you to remove the (rather large) filter and re-wet it every time you fill it. That's such a pain I doubt anyone would do it. Another reviewer suggested just flipping it over each time - good idea! After a while it begins to smell a bit moldy, so you have to clean it and change the filter. I ordered this from Amazon.

Honeywell Quick Steam - This unit also definitely quickly and noticeably humidifies a room. Since it's the hot steam type you can actually see the steam and you feel it more in the air. It has a smaller tank - needs refilled more often. Also has a filter, but only for the water, so it never has a bad smell. It gurgles and my wife can't sleep in a room with it. The sound from the other units is limited to the sound of the fan, which on low is fairly quiet and on high is like white noise. I also ordered this from Amazon.

the fan has very little noise, bright light, uses a special gu 24 base bulbs, i found a company on the web i bought four bulbs for 5 bucks each, hunter wanted 15 plus shipping, measure your bulbs, its around 2 1/2 inches i think, and look on the web for a gu 24 bulb thats around that size and order them cheaper from someone else, there was three companys that had the size bulb this hunter fan takes, it works great, sucks alot of air and its bright, cons is the special size bulb, but a search on the web will fix that problem, plus they are the long life bulbs, so 4 extra should last me a long time..be careful not to order a bulb longer then the size you get for there is little room between the bulb and the cover, very little.....

Venta 6001236 35oz Water Additive Review

This additive is an absolute necessity when operating the Venta Airwashwer. Whenever you replace the water of the Airwasher completely (every 10-14 days according to the manual) and rinse it out, you will need to add a portion of this additive. The bottle lasts for about 12 such cycles.

I have actually found that I need to replace the water every 10 days to avoid the buildup of "gunk" in the water. I have lived in an area where the water had a much higher mineral content compared to where I live now and found myself doing a complete rinse-out of the Airwasher and replacement of the water and the treastment additive every week, just because the build-up of mineral deposits was so high.

Honeywell H14018 Replacement Filter for Eureka PMF-1 Sponge Filter Review

This product is supposed to fit a capture vacuum.It needs to fit snuggly into the chamber to keep the next filter and the sides of the filter chamber from getting dirty.If it was a smidgen bigger all around it would fit nicely, but alas it is not cut to fit perfectly so it does not do a good job of filtration.Next the filter material is not of the same density as the original product that came with my vacuum.I am very dissapointed with these filters.I purchased two packages so I got 4 filters so that I could change the filter after each vacuum so that I can keep all of my other filters clean and new.These do such a poor job that dirt gets down to the next filter and on to the hepa filter.If this filter is kept clean it keeps your suction optimal.These need to go back to the drawing board.

Sunbeam Cartridge Review

The illustration doesn't show it but there are holes in the cartridge that let the water through without going through the filter media.Therefore I knew before I installed it that it wouldn't work but I wanted to give it every chance.If it reduces white dust at all it's not by much.Waste of money.

THIS IS MADE BY KAZ USA.Interesting they rarely brand their items with their own name.OVER A YR AND A HALF AGO, they bought SLANT FIN PURI-CLEAR 55 business, the perfect air purifier for a nursery.SO FAR, THEY REFUSE TO MAKE FILTERS.GUESS THEY EXPECT FOLKS TO CAVE and buy this thing instead. DON'T DO IT. The air purifier ability is sub-par.With the SLANT FIN- the 3M Filtrete dual pre filter did an EXCELLENT JOB.With this it just didn't work as well and with this thing there is a "washable" filter.COME ON.The footprint is also larger and the unit is more noisy.

IF KAZ had any sense they would continue to make the superior product they bought from SLANT FIN!But wait, this is KAZ, they like to buy BRANDS and then cheapen them. FOLKS think they are buying quality because the brand has such a good reputation but hold on, the brand is just a badge, the actual product is KAZ.

Out of desperation (since KAZ refuses to make filters for the Slant Fin I have used for years with total satisfaction) I found a store that sold their 'comparable' unit, figured I should at least see WHY KAZ refuses to make the SLANT FIN! The VICKS purifier won't be coming to my home!My advice - stay away from anything KAZ'd.

Wish I had the money to buy the rights to the SLANT FIN and get that CHINESE manufacturer making filters! One last note: KAZ marketing campaign for this unit neglects to inform that ionizers should be turned off in a nursery -personally I think they are a BAD IDEA ALL TOGETHER, they create ozone and can harm us.Not a great idea for a nursery at all or anyone at any age with breathing issues or anyone who wishes to stay clear of developing breathing issues.The Slant Fin had lights in the face plate so one could easily know the ionizer was OFF. This thing has some dial on the top of it. Lastly, the SLANT FIN had a compartment to accept a fragrance pouch, a wonderful idea, even if used only ocassionally.This product doesn't have that feature. This Vicks unit costs virtually the same as the SLANT FIN did. VALUE? - I think NOT.
