I had the sponge type and it worked until it started leaking. I was at 72% most of the time according to my Caliber 3 digital hygrometer. I bought this to replace it. Doesn't keep it even above 60%. So I guess these are hit and miss. I even sponged it down one more time after this didn't work, still doesn't work properly.
